Frequently Asked Questions
What is the language?
This corresponds to the language used for the transcript. As Apple technology can’t guess which language you are talking, you need to declare it here.
What are the countries?
It’s both for context and sources. So if you say, for example, “Our president” and you had chosen “French,” the claim detecting tool will replace it with Emmanuel Macron.
What are credits?
Credits are what Esploro spends on your behalf each time it runs a fact-check request. Your balance is shown in Settings → Credits.
How do I earn credits?
By watching an optional rewarded video ad (Settings → Credits → Watch Ad), or through other in-app options as they become available. You can also adjust how often ads are shown automatically via the Ad Level setting (Off / Lite / Standard / Max / Ultra) on the same screen.
Are ads mandatory?
No. Ads are entirely optional - you choose if and when to watch one. You can also choose whether to enable personalized ads: granting the iOS tracking permission (App Tracking Transparency) lets ads be tailored to your interests, but declining it still lets you watch ads and earn credits, just with non-personalized ads instead.
